A1 Assessor Award Training Course Overview

The A1 Assessor Award course will train individuals who need to carry out hairdressing assessments in the classroom or a work environment. You will learn to support learners through assessment & training. Upon successful completion of the course, candidates are awarded an accredited qualification enabling them to carry out assessments in the workplace. It will also allow you to provide assessments for vocational programmes in training centres, organisations, colleges and schools.The course consists of four units over a 36-week period. I had a great experience training at the Strand Training Academy. I combined my NVQ level 2 & 3 and trained one evening per week to fit round my current Job.
Once qualified I got a stylist position in salon and have never looked back!!

How to support the learner in the assessment process
How to give relevant feedback to learners
How to plan for an assessment or exam
How to assess in a workplace environment

Extra Details:

You will need the relevant qualification in the level you wish to assess.

Duration

One day per week for 36 weeks or alternatively two days a week for 18 weeks. Please note times and days may vary for this programme so please ensure you check the exact timing for your academy of choice.

Cost

The course fee for the Assessor Award in Hairdressing is £499.

The experience today has been fully reassuring we talked about my hair on and after the consultation date on appointment day for added reasurance! The process has been incredible with absolutely eveyone being so polite even if they arnt your stylist ☺️ keria was with me today I do apologise if I have spelled your name wrong queen! 😅 but she was incredible i went from hating my hair to falling in love with the new colours! They are flawless the hairstyle came out better than my wanted design I couldn't be happier with today's experience! 💗 I couldn't recommend a place more. Loved my visit to the strand and with maggie (hopefully I’ve remembered her name!) my hair was beautiful and I loved the subtle changes to change my hair up but not make it too drastic. She was very complimentary of my hair which was nice! Lovely chat and would rebook with her again !

Our hair cuts were so lovely and we are so happy! She has the patience of a saint, my daughter was constantly talking to her and she took the time to listen to her every time and let her be heard and listened to her what she wanted to do with her hair.
