Our hair extensions course in Essex ensures that every student has the knowledge and practical skills to offer hair extensions to the highest standard.

By investing in our training courses, you can increase your salon revenue and offer the highest quality service to your clients. With a balance of both theory and practical training, our courses are held in our Chelmsford Salon.

As well as training you to the highest standard by our fully qualified educators, you’ll gain a qualification approved by VTCT. Regulated and recognised in the industry you’ll be able to offer a new skill set straight on the salon floor. On completion of the course, each graduate will hold a certification.

I had a great experience training at the Strand Training Academy. I combined my NVQ level 2 & 3 and trained one evening per week to fit round my current Job.
Once qualified I got a stylist position in salon and have never looked back!!

Hair Extension Course Details:

Understand the industry and latest trends
Work safely and efficiently
Use extensions for length, thickness and different colour effects
Complete a client consultation
Understand contraindications
Select the perfect method and density for your client
Understand the different qualities and textures of hair
Achieve the perfect colour match
Create new colour effects such as balayage and highlights
Section the hair and apply different methods safely and securely with the correct tension
Position extensions discreetly for different methods and needs e.g. for length, volume, highlights and more
Use cutting and blending techniques to achieve a natural look
Perfectly style extensions with free tutorials
Safely remove hair extensions
Educate and provide aftercare and maintenance for your clients
Structure pricing and understand the profit for your services

NOTE:

You will need a long hair head block we can supply if necessary, but we do advise you to buy your own so you can practise in your own time.

The experience today has been fully reassuring we talked about my hair on and after the consultation date on appointment day for added reasurance! The process has been incredible with absolutely eveyone being so polite even if they arnt your stylist ☺️ keria was with me today I do apologise if I have spelled your name wrong queen! 😅 but she was incredible i went from hating my hair to falling in love with the new colours! They are flawless the hairstyle came out better than my wanted design I couldn't be happier with today's experience! 💗 I couldn't recommend a place more. Loved my visit to the strand and with maggie (hopefully I’ve remembered her name!) my hair was beautiful and I loved the subtle changes to change my hair up but not make it too drastic. She was very complimentary of my hair which was nice! Lovely chat and would rebook with her again !
